I grew up under the hands of a shipwright in Hansard, Devon Pinewright. I was adopted by Devon and his wife and have lived with them for all of my life. My adoptive parents won’t tell me anything about my birth parents. They simply stated that I was part of their family and that’s all that mattered.

I developed a love for the ocean and its wonders rather young, but found shipbuilding to be intolerably ponderous for my youth. When I wanted to leave the city and travel as a sailor, my parents were perfectly happy to send me off so that I could find my place in the world.

I made myself useful on expeditions to the Kamchak regions through use of my magic. I’ve been on timber expeditions where I used my illusions to keep the superstitious Kamchak away from our operation. On expeditions for seals, my abilities to daze and stun the creatures at a distance became rather indispensable as well.
